On the way back from Devon last weekend we stopped at Stourhead. A walk around the gardens was a pleasant way to break the journey and relax a little.
The National Trust at Stourhead run autumn colour walks at the weekends from mid-October to mid-November. We caught the beginning of the colour change but it was well worth seeing. The stillness of the lake and the reflections of the trees make this a perfect setting for autumn's many colours. It is worth a visit if you are in the area.
