Woodland - June

Over a month since I last took some photographs of the woodland and even on a very sunny afternoon it was shadier and felt more closed in than last month.

The path is almost overgrown.

The remains of the bluebells can still be seen in places

but many other plants have grown up in their place.

 Lots of brambles

nettles

and ferns. So many different shades of green on the woodland floor

and looking up to the trees overhead.

I made the elderflower cordial this weekend!!! It turned out very well and I am just waiting to get some fizzy water to mix with it. I hope the flavor hold well after being diluted as it smells and tastes delightful just now!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe. I will post some pictures before long.

Glad you liked it, I bought fizzy water to go with it, nice with ice and a slice of lemon.
I also poured a little of the undiluted syrup over strawberries and let them stand for 30 minutes before serving - a very summery tasting dessert.
