Oh it's fun to see a picture of a beacon! We enjoyed having our own celebrations here. The Queen is quite an amazing woman. I can't believe she and her husband continue to keep up such a pace! Your countryside looks lovely! I especially like the tree that looks almost yellow.
The tree that looks almost yellow (next post) is an oak. The leaves at this time of the year are a bright yellow/lime green and they almost seem to glow in the sunshine. After a few weeks as the leaves mature they turn a darker green.
